Dear Members of the Security Council,

I urge you to demand that Israel agrees to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire that has been persistently demanded by Lebanon and Palestine.

Israel blatantly has no limits in exercising its inhumanity and criminal acts of war against Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.

Sanctions should be imposed on Israel for its daily savage strikes on Palestine and its invasion of Lebanon that far exceed Saddam Hussain’s 1990 military operations in Kuwait. Israeli leaders should be charged with war crimes.

It is heartbreaking for decent people to watch on the news the desperation, grief and trauma that Palestinian and Lebanese families suffer. We look to the Security Council to fulfil the conditions of the United Nations Charter forthwith in relation to protecting the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon.

Nachdem palästinensische Kämpfer einen israelischen Soldaten festgenommen haben, spricht Israel und der Großteil der Welt von Entführung, während Israel Menschen beliebig lange in Gefängnissen einsperren darf, ohne dass jemand dagegen etwas sagt. Jetzt versucht die “einzige Demokratie im nahen Osten” “ihren Sohn” wiederzubekommen - und sich dabei ihren Weg freizubomben - , während tausende palästinensische Mütter vergeblich auf die Rückkehr ihrer Söhne warten. Zwar beschiessen palästinensische Gruppen seit der wirtschaftlichen und politischen Isolation des Gaza-Streifens und der Westjordanbank die israelische Stadt Sderot, allerdings hat die IDF seit einiger Zeit nicht mehr mit der Bombardierung und Terrorisierung des Gaza-Streifens (und seiner Bewohner) aufgehört und dabei eine nicht unbeträchliche Anzahl Zivilisten getötet:

The shells keep falling. They’ve gotten inside my head, so that its not just my house shaking but but my brain throbbing. It’s like someone is banging a gong next to my ear every few minutes; sometimes 5 times a minute, like last night. And just when I savor a few moments of silence, it starts again as if to say “you’re not going to get away that easily.”
