In «The Word» präsentiert er politisch höchst unkorrekte Urteile in häufig absurd-anarchistischer Argumentation. Auf geteiltem Bildschirm sieht man dann Colbert seine simplizistischen Begriffserklärungen verkünden, während auf einer parallelen Schrifttafel Leitworte daraus festgehalten werden.
