Google killed the address bar
Why do many people type in the (fully qualified) URL of a website into the “google master”? What’s the point in having Domain names if you’re gonna search for the content either way? And what if google for whatever reason doesn’t know the server you’re looking for? Or it simply doesn’t think that site is important enough to be on the top of the list. It will simply give you some sites that it thinks are valuable for that search string..
People, there is an address bar on top of nearly every Webbrowser, where you can type in the website address. If you tend to forget that address you could bookmark that site once you’ve found it. But please stop using google for your everyday site lookups, even if it’s so “easy”..
And here is something for my (very early) career as a song writer.. (read with the well known song “Video killed the radio star” running..)
I heard you had some URIs 20-22,
you typed them in and pronto did the site come to,
If i knew that dns was that simple to do..Oh-a oh
Google took over and did do change the web to,
Search and you’ll find what google did find fit for you,
what problems holds the future for me and you..Oh-a oh
I met your children
Oh-a ohWhat did you tell them?
Google killed the address bar.
Google killed the address bar.Searches came and broke the web.
Oh-a-a-a ohAnd now we meet in a search bar from google too.
You tell me of domain names and it does seem so
redundant because you have google too..Oh-a oh
You were the first one.
Oh-a ohGoogle laughs the last one.
Google killed the address bar.
Google killed the address bar.
At my home and at office, we can’t get without google very far
Oh-a-aho oh,
Oh-a-aho ohGoogle killed the address bar.
Google killed the address bar.At my home and at office, we can’t get without google very far
Google came and broke your heart, go out and commit suicide.Google’s the real star.
Google’s the real star.
Google killed the address bar.
Google killed the address bar.
Google killed the address bar.
Google killed the address bar.Google killed the address bar. (Google’s the real star.)
And no, i won’t be doing a sing-a-long very soon..
