Westerwelle: Ich glaube, es ist eine Selbstverständlichkeit. Wenn man im Nahostprozess etwas bewirken will, dann muss man mit den gewählten und legitimierten Repräsentanten eines Landes auch reden, und ich glaube auch, dass Israel eine Regierung hat, die immer wieder gerne auch in Deutschland als Gast gesehen wird. Wir hatten die israelische Regierung gerade erst zu Gast bei den offiziellen Regierungskonsultationen. Das tut dem Ganzen gut. Nicht miteinander zu reden, das wäre eine völlig falsche Konsequenz.

Wirklich? Man muss also mit gewählten Repräsentanten eines Landes reden? Wo bleibt dieser Pragmatismus eigentlich im Falle der Palästinenser?
